Vent App
UI design
use of style guides
front end development
Overview.
My classmate, Osman, had been creating an app that he named Vent, which allows people to anonymously chat with others about anything from mental health to the latest music releases. He realized that the pandemic left a lot of people feeling isolated and alone in their struggles; so, he wanted to create a safe space for people to connect.
I really enjoyed having this opportunity to experiment with my design skills and collaborate with a friend. As a result, I was able to create a more user-friendly, visually appealing user interface.
Original UI
When Osman came to me looking for someone to help improve the UI of his app, this is what the UI looked like. So, I wasn’t starting from scratch: he had a color palette we would stick with and a general architecture for the app established. I was excited to use my design skills and take this to the next level!
